My predisesor left a db which he has locked down very well. Its not an MDE, however, I can't seem to see any forms in Design view. When I try to change to design view, the db shuts down. There is obviously some code running somewhere, however, I can't see any modules. The db is set to ReadOnly (not sure how that's done) which I need to get around too.

Any ideas?

What happens if you try to import into a new, blank database?

Is it possible the objects are just hidden?

The modules WERE hidden. Now the problem is he has a piece f code being called from inside a macro. However, I can't find that function anywhere.... I"M SO CONFUSED!!!!

Have you tried importing everything into a blank db, or opening the db with the shift key held down to bypass startup options? Is there a form that runs at startup? Or a hidden form that is running?

Yes. Yes. There is.... I thought I tried that... I'll try again...

In 2000 you can reference an mdb from another mdb in a similar way to referencing say, Word x.x Object Library. If you do this, you can examine the code in the referenced mdb. Try looking for Quit.
