can't see any buttons

Hi

Very new to Flash and this problem is driving me nuts!

I have been working on a web template with a Flash header, I have managed to changed the button text, alter the logo etc. I have been asked to add another button to the flash menu - but now I can't even see the buttons.

When I open the .fla file, I see just a staic header - no buttons

If i click on Control, Test Movie - I see the buttons

If i click Control, Play - NO BUTTONS

Please can someone help me find my buttons!!

Hide all layers, than show the menu layer...
Select frame 27 on the timeline.
Double-click the small circle of the menu movie clip, or Symbol 6...
Move the playhead to frame 50, and you should see the buttons...
That's where you would add a new one...
