Can't search contact from system directory on Avaya Communicator for windows

We found the issue when use Avaya Communicator for windows Can't search contact from system directory
- The Avaya IP office system R11.0.4 GA release
- Avaya-Communicator-2.1.4.0-NGUE-FLAREWINIPOREGRESSION10-JOB1.326

( Example : We try to search *3505 is description of name) not found as below picture.

But try to search on system directory found that is below picture.

I have a client with the exact same problem. He says that if he's in the office the System Directory works on his Communicator, but when he's at home and connected to his office using a VPN connection it does not. Everything else works fine but this System Directory issue is a weird one.
He does have access to his OneX portal login when at home and I've asked him if he can see the System Directory using OneX, but he hasn't got back to me.
