Using Windows XP Home and loaded NTBACKUP which runs fine manually BUT will not run as scheduled due to password failure. I don't put in a password and am confused how to make this work. help. thanks.

Scheduled Tasks cannot run with a blank password
That is normal behavior. In order to schedule this task, the account to be used must have a password.

[ol]There are basically two possibilities to overcome this[li]Create another 'backup service' user account with a password. Set this as the user account to run the scheduled backup. This account can be hidden from the Welcome Screen if you so desire.[/li][li]Add a password to your user 'normal' user account. You can still have this automatically log on if you so desire, but don't forget the password.[/li][/ol]
