I inherited a database from an employee that went to another company.

When I tried to modify the design of the forms, reports, macros, and modules, I get the following message:

"You do not have exclusive access to the database at this time. If you process to make changes, you may not be able to save them later."

What can I do you change this.??? I don't want to open the database exclusively. Actually, this database is in the network and I have make changes with it on another computer without opening it exclusively. But somehow on this computer I cannot save changes unless I open it exclusively.

Also, I can save changes with queries and tables, but not the others.

Thank you.

My suggestion would be to create a new database and import the form into it. Then you can make any changes you want, then import it back into the DB on the network.

Open the database from access itself and make sure the open exclusive box is not checked. Also check your permissions to see if you have database checked open exclusive, uncheck if you do. I work in an NT environment and I'm just the opposite. I can only modify a tables design if everyone is logged out, or if no one has an application open which uses that table. But I work on queries forms reports and macros all the time with no problem.
