Windows 2000
Office 2000
When one of my users tried to save a Word document that he has worked on many times before, he gets an error message saying that is read only. But if he goes to File > Save As he can save it. It's not only 1 file, it's all of them. Is there a global permission setting higher than the folder level because it's documents in several different folders.
I did a search and there were a lot of "save" problems but not specifically like this. I will try some of the suggestions even though they do not have the exact problem.
But I was hoping someone has come across this and has successfully fixed it and would be willing to share the knowledge.
Thanks,
Sidney
