Can't save the illustration.

I am trying to save a small illustration as PDF. and I only get an error message that says:
Can't save the illustration.

I am new at this software. What could be the reason?
The version I am using is 8.0 and the free space on my drive is 10G.
Thanks for any hints.

That's a weird anamoly that happens every now and then. Try copying everything into a new document then saving. BEHOLD! As Steve Jobs introduces us the latest in desk-lamp technology!
