I have saved something to a CD-R. I know there is still space left on the CD but I am not able to save anything else to the CD. Is there anything I can do to solve this problem or should I just use CD-RW?
Most software used for writing to cd's should have an option to leave the session open so you can add more stuff at a later date or to close the session. I use adaptec easy cd creator 4, and the default was set to close session.
There is an option to "close the session" or "close the disc". If you're creating a data cd, then it really shouldnt matter if you closed the previous session. Usually, it is fine to create more than one session on data cd's.
However, it is quite possible that you closed the disc, which doesn't allow for additional sessions. Also, if you're making a music cd, you generally only want to have one session if you want it to work in a standalone cd player. Most can only read the first session.
