Hi all,
Im running IE8 on windows xp and have to view some presentations from a vendor which launch via a play.htm file, which then seems to jump to another page. I believe this is trying to run some javascript, and it runs fine on an old xp machine with ie6.

Ive done a clean build of xp, ie8, latest java, and it fails to load. Is there any way to get this running? Is there some security feature in XPSP2 that is preventing this running?

Any advice much appreciated

John

In what way does it fail to load? Does the file play.htm load, but nothing further? Or does the browser not actually open play.htm?

Do you have any popup blockers in play Try disabling them, or putting IE 8 into 'compatibility mode' which might help.

Hope this helps,
Dan
