Hi...these forums have been such a great help to me, but I can't find anything on this problem. I was having some problems with an HP 8200e external burner so I tried to uninstall and reinstall. Well, after a major screw up a friend of mine helped me to rollback the registry after I did a little too much uninstalling and could only get the computer to start in safe mode. Well, that problem is now fixed and I have the burner drivers installed. However, now I'm trying to run the HP software setup file (which I had been able to previously install) and I can't get the file to run. The CD-ROM is reading all of the files but the setup file will not run. I've tried to run it by either the start / run menu and by explorer and neither will work. Does anybody have a clue what may be wrong ? I'm running Windows 98.
