Can't restore all files from CTF file

Hello,
Recently I had to restore an old BrightStor backup. I copied all .ctf files from a tape and placed them into a directory on my HD. Then I've created and device to this directory and used the restore from "bakcup media" .
The problem is that it doesn't restore all data in CTF files. The brightstore restores only a few files and directories and then shown the "operation successful" message.
Is this a bug? How can I get rid of this misbehavior and restore all my files?

Update ARCserve.

Going forward, do not backup FSDs, use tapecopy to migrate the date from disk to tape.
