I have installed Ms Sql 2000 just to get access to a server. So when i installed it i just type in something as password (or nothing att all, cant remember). Now when i want to create an own db om my local computure im not able to connect to my own Server. Its there some way to find my password? Or do I have to reinstall the software?

jesperthor,

When you open Enterprise manager, what login are you using? This is the information you entered when registering the Server in EM.

If you think the sa password is empty (which is permitted) then open Query analyzer, click File - Connect, select (or type in) the server and instance name, Select 'SQL Server Authentication', enter sa as the Login name, leave the password blank, and click OK.

If the sa password is truly blank, then QA will connect.

You can use the above example to test any Login/Password combination.
