Can't Referenct CognosImpromptu Library -- Editor Crashes

I'm trying to automate some Cognos Impromptu tasks using .NET. When I try to reference the Impromptu Client Type Library, I get a "System.ExecutionEngineException" exception in the TypeLibraryWrapper and the .NET IDE crashes. I've been able to reference the library through VBA inside Excel with no problems.

Has anyone had something similar happen? Am I doing something wrong? Is this library even usable in .NET?
