I managed to get a new Install to make outbound calls fine, but inbound still do not work. Yes I programmed each target line for each DID number we have.

Its a BCM 400 4.0, with a PRI bringing in 40 DID's. If I change the Prime set to any extension all the calls go there, but for some reason I cannot make the DID go to the DN's.

What am I missing?

Did you assign the target line to the ext that is supposed to receive the call? Make sure that you assign it for the number of times that it will appear and ring on the phone.

Here are the only things needed to program DID's.

1. Program the received digits in the Target Line.
2. Program the Prime set
3. Program the Target Line to Appear&Ring or Ring only to the phone. Make sure that you have at least 2 Intercom keys.

Check and double check the settings with the carrier.
How do you have the PRI set up?

Yes you do. It comes default as 3 digits. If this needs to be changed you would know that when you try to program the received digits of the target line.

i think on the active physical line, you need to set the answering mode to auto rather that manual to make DDI working

Only if you are dealing with E&M. Normal DID's that come through a PRI don't need to be set for auto.

The Target lines are set correct. I have one for each DID coming in and appearance (Ring only) on each set, each set has 2 intercom keys.

We are verifying the digits sent. I thought default was 4, which is what it was programmed as. They had an existing system but we do not have access to it, the customer doesnt even have acces to it so I can't duplicate what they had, nor was I part of the set up with the carrier.

You might have already tried this but just in case.....I had a similar situation on my first install.

Fire up the monitor and watch under the line monitor to see what the telco is actually sending you. In my case, they were sending 10 digits when we asked for 7.

All else being configured correctly.......

Got it straight, they were indeed sending 5 digits, once that was confirmed it was a breeze. Thanks!
