I am hoping someone can give me a little guidance with a problem. I added a new phone to the system about a month ago. Everything worked fine. Now when someone tries to call the # from outside the company, they get a message saying they've reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service. You can receive calls internally and you can place internal and external calls.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like you need to call your Telco and have them investigate the issue. What kind of system? what modules are the phone lines plugged into? What kind of lines? POTs? T1/PRI? Some basic info on your system would help. But, if the phone lines works OK to place calls - and you get the message described when someone calls from outside - the problem is probably with your Telco - not your switch.

What is the phone # "they" are calling? Is it the correct number and did you call it yourself to verify the problem.
Sounds to me that they are calling the wrong number or your number has been disconnected. The messaging they are hearing is coming from the phone company.
