I'm having a problem I've never come across before. I've tried everything I could think of but no luck.

I have a reseller account where I host customers domain and e-mail. These people are setup to send their mail, using SMTP auth through the resellers' SMTP server. My customers can send to anyone but my domain. I also host my domain on the reseller account, but I host my own mail server. So I deleted the DNS zone file on the reseller server, and had their support put my domain into the /etc/remotedomains file on their mail server.

I see the reseller's mail server coming through my firewall, and it gets as far as my exchange SMTP virtual server. This is the only message I get in the SMTP logs:

2006-07-14 16:47:55 70.87.xx.xxx - SMTPSVC1 COBALT 10.15.x.xx 0 QUIT 240 125 0 152968 SMTP -

I get one of those messages for each email sent to me through the resellers mail server. It's like their server is never issuing a HELO or EHLO command. They say the problem is on my end, but I have no special filters on my end that would prevent this. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks -Jason

I'm going through the same thing right now, but my list of problem domains continues to grow bigger, its up to 5 in about a month. Did you ever get this resolved and if so what steps did you take to fix it?

Thanks,

jeff
