Cant read from meory location.

Lately, when closing some programs (Including WinTV200, VTPLus and Deus Ex) I get an error complaining that the app couldn't read from a ceratain memory address. What could this be due to? I cant track it down to installing something in particular because I'm constantly installing/uninstaling stuff.
