Can't publish a BO XI report to BOE XI Pro???

Is this right? We just upgraded from CE 10 to BOE XI Pro and it publishes our CR 10 and CR XI reports fine, but our BO rep says we have to get BOE XI Premium to publish BO XI reports, this sounds very strange! It will publish CR reports but not it's own???

What did your CE 10 license include? Did you have a license of BusinessObjects 6.5 or earlier (Their analitics product).

The picture will get more complicated. We own XI Premium but I am still trying to sort out what we can publish. For sure we can publish CR and OLAP but Webi is still up in the air. Keep pushing your rep.

He just explained it to me, BOE XI Pro is actually the next version of CE, it's a CR thing not a BO thing regardless of the name, but BOE XI Premium is the real BO web environment, but can also publish CR reports. Complicated is right.

Do you get the Development tool for BO in BO XI Premium as well? It seems that they are also allowing one to publish all three types but one has to buy the development licenses separately. This makes sense when you use the stand alone client but for Web Clients Such as Crystal Explorer 10.5 and Webi it does not.

I don't know but he did tell me that BOE XI Premium would publish everything, CR reports, classic BO reports, and BO Webi reports, but we could only publish CR reports with BOE XI Pro, they should have named things more logically.

With BOE XI Professional you are limited to one report file type - with BOE XI Premium you can host any report file type.

I think it's a crappy business-model, but that's just me...the BOBJ sales guys seem to be OK with it...
