Can't program blank button on 7316 BCM200 1

Had buttons preprogrammed to internal dials..tried to move lines(F*81) up into what "appears" to be the 1st postion(next to the feature and hold buttons)...I then moved the preproigrammed up to the higher 8 buttons and blanked the "1st few buttons but still couldn't (F*81) the numbers to the blank buttons.

Need you help

Want to add that I think the 7316 thinks it some other set on this BCM200. It says in the user preferences\button programming that the 1st line is the 4th button (beside the number pad)

on a t7316 the top 6 buttons (top 3 of each column) can't be lines. you need a 7316e for that.

Can the 8 lines down the right side be the row of lines then?

Nope your line appearances will be limited to the lower five
buttons in each of the 2 rows minus what you need for intercom and handsfree.
