I.E 6.0 - Win98SE.
When I try to print from Outlook Express, I get a script error: last line is "res://c:\windows\system\SHODOCLC.dll\preview.dlg"
I searched this site and MS, and all I found was references to I.E. 5.5 with instructions on where to find the file on the 5.5 CD. Any ideas?

Bill, did you check these links? All three say "Specified page not available". Did MS get DoD'd again?

Nope. The first two apply to I.E 5.5, and the other one is for postscript printers. I need the location (on the CD) of the "IEPEERS.dll" on the Win98 CD.

Followed directions - old version is registered in system - same problem.

Try #2:

Search for DISPEX.DLL. Rename it DISPEX.OLD. Reboot. Test.

I re-installed Win 98SE.

No help on the previous tips. I tried with both the old and new version of IEPEERS (re-registering each time). I also note I get the same error on any picture (gif, jpg) I try to print. They are both associated with IEXPLORE. If I associate jpegs with the KodakImg, they print OK. It's definately an I.E. problem. Any more ideas?

I'm ready to give up! How do I reinstall I.E.?

I have a copy of I.E.6 - what I need is a way to delete and replace the defective one that is currently installed.

Well, that didn't help. That was just instructions for "repair". The other option was to revert to 5.5. I need to remove it (IE 6).

It's OK. I gave up and wiped out everything and started over. By the way, I see why you don't like "Go-Back", I had to run a debug script to clean my HDD. So far it's printing fine. I check after every one of the client's program I put back in, although I think the system got hosed by one of the 111 spyware programs that Ad-Aware took out! Thanks for all the help guys, I learned a lot about why MS says you can't take out I.E., so much depends on it. Now, if I could just keep her from opening every e-mail that comes in. "Doesn't my ISP, ZA, and anti-virus protect me from ALL problems"? How do you get through to people that you can't prevent stupidity? Sorry for the rant, I've been on this one problem too long.
