Can't preview in Safari beta for Windows

Hello All,

Anyone else having this problem?

I installed the new Safari beta for Windows (xp) and added it to my Preview in Browser list in Dreamweaver, pointing it to safari.exe, but when I try to preview, Safari opens and displays the home page, not my Dreamweaver project page.

Any thoughts,

Safari requires the "-URL" switch to open a page that is sent to it, so you'll need to edit the link in the preview list to contain the -url switch before the page variable.

So in the Edit browser list, in the add browser dialog box, put the "-url" switch at the end of the appilcation name in this case safari.exe. it will look like:

C:\Program Files\Safar\safari.exe -url.

Thanks for the reply vancunita, but when I put it in as you described, I get
The path does not specify an existing file" message. Does this work for you?

I'm not near, a Dreamweaver right now. Only Safari and I know Safari requires the -url to open a page in that fashion., Try putting double quotes around the whole thing.

"C:\Program Files\Safari\safari.exe -url". Assuming of course that's where safari is installed in.

Thanks, again - but no go. I do have the right path, but it just won't accept the -url with, or without quotes. If you crack the code, please let me know.

I'll take a stab at it when i get home tonight. I have Dreamweaver on my home Pc. I'll post back if I figure out how to get it to work.
