Can't place Ofc XP Word article to PageMaker 6.5

Articles typed on Ofc XP Word after we upgraded from Ofc 2000 cannot be placed to PageMaker 6.5. I have tried uninstalling and installing PageMaker. The error it gives is:
Cannot place this file...File contains invalid data....8601:29766. Any ideas?

Upgrade to PM7.01. PM65 does not handle ANY Word docs gracefully, let alone 2k or XP. PM6.5 was developed for now obsolete OS's and is not certified for 2K, ME or XP. Some people have no problems with PM65 on these OS's, others have nothing but. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
