Can't Place anything on the Form

Hi everyone! i have come acrossed a rather interesting problem! i am running CR 8.5 and what happens when i installed the program i used it for about a day and then today i went to edit the same report i was workign with all yesterday...well now i can't place anything new in the report, i can't copy and past and i can insert new objects. However i can still edit formula's and move around things that i had placed on there yesterday with no problems. When i create a new report if i use the wizard it will place things on the form for me but if i don't then i can't place anything at all.

I get no error msg i just get the nice little back circle with a cross threw it. If i uninstall and reinstall it works for the span of about 10 mins before it does this same problem again... Yes it is the full version of the program not a trial and was not upgraded from a trial version.

Any help on this issue would be great!

Try changing the printer, I suspect that the canvas is shrinking so that it has no usable space to place objects.

Install a non-existent printer if need be and make sure that the layout is correct if something seems wrong.

Also make sure that you aplly the service packs religiously:
