can't ping to host computer

indication :
computer 1 = using FIS network line
host computer = using MES network line
computer 2 = using MES network line

Our company have two IT department which is FIS and MES.
There is a user remote computer(computer 1) is using FIS line, having problem pinging to the host computer(using Mes network line), they get an error result: request time out. On other hand, my computer(computer 2)is using Mes line can ping to the host computer successfully, there is no error at all. Can someone give some solution or method how to solve it out.

Can computer 1 ping computer 2? Can Computer 2 ping computer 1?
What is the topology? Do these networks connect via a router or switch?

thanks for the reply, ya we can ping to each other as well.
All the network is connected via a switch and the network
configuration for the host computer is show below:

host name : mes.point.com
DNS servers : 10.14.95.2
IP routing enabled : no
wins proxy enabled : no
netbios resolution uses DNS : no
IP address : 10.14.90.12
subnet mask : 255.255.240.0
default gateway : 10.14.80.1

Ad your PC has the same subnet mask and default gateway as the host computer, correct?
Next quesion, is computer 1 trying to ping using the hostname of mes.point.com or the IP address 10.14.90.12? Todd VanDerwerken, CCNA, CCDA

my pc gateway and subnet mask is same as the host computer and from computer 1 is ping using ip address 10.14.90.12

From the a command or DOS window on computer 2 and the Host PC type arp -a.
What do you get? Do they match?

very simple question, can computer 1 get a ping responce from the default gateway ? try from a comand prompt route print.... what is the route for 0.0.0.0 ? sounds like from the thread computer 1 can't see the DG for some reason

Earlier in this thread it was stated that computer1 can ping computer2, so it doesn't looke like a DG issue. Plus these computers are on a layer2 switch. Todd VanDerwerken, CCNA, CCDA
