Cant ping self or loopback

Ive got a nokia ip530 with NG FP2.

2 interfaces

LAN 10.10.0.240/24
WAN 65.x.x.x/26

I can get on the internet just fine.

I can not, however, ping myself, 10.10.0.110, or even my loopback, 127.0.0.1.

This makes it difficult to route to other address through that need to hop to 10.10.0.5, which i can not ping as well.

Why would i be unable to ping things on the same subnet?

New information:

I changed my rulebase to ANY ANY accept, now i can ping myself, loopback, 10.10.0.5, etc.

now i have a static route.

route add 172.20.0.0/16 10.10.0.5

i can not get to anything on the 172 network. traceroute yields. * * * *

wtf?

do you have rules allowing trafic to the 172 network ?

Thanks for the input guys, i got it working. All i need to get configured now it Dual NAT! yikes!
