Can't ping network printer ( post #1)
First a little history. My friend and I practice breaking each others networks to sharpen our linux skills. The last time he logged in my network, he has done something to where I can't ping the network printer from any of my machines; however, I am able to ping between other machines on the network, the gateway address, and to a url such as I have checked the static reservation in /etc/dhcpd.conf. The static address is binded to the mac address. There aren't any IPtable rules.
In additon, I have a another problem. The client xp machine on the network can't browse the internet or samba network shares. It does have network connectivity. Does anyone have any ideas about how to trouble shoot theses issues.
