Hi there
My problem is a new one since I started using CS. If I copy an image from outwith Photoshop I can't paste it into a layer, nor paste it into a new document. Just nothing happens. It's very frustrating! Grateful for any ideas
Thanks

Is the image you are trying to paste into locked perhaps? Did you just open a regular image (like a JPG or gif) and try to paste into it without first creating a layer of the background layer. I have seen that problem a few times.

Hope this helps!

Hi Nate

No it's definitely not that, but thanks anyway. You know when you copy an image outwith Photoshop and then come to File > New and it knows what size it is so you can paste it in? (Well that's what my previous versions always did). It just doesn't change from a default in CS.

Stop Press! Cancel the above! Just went to check again and all is OK. Maybe re-booting did the trick (yes, I know I should have tried that first, but I have been having this problem for a couple of days and re-booting didn't solve it.) BTW I've also changed my Zone Alarm settings to let CS access the internet - could that have been a problem?

Sorry all anyway, but thank goodness it's fixed.

Cheers!

Why are you letting photoshop connect to the internet. That's only needed when you initially activate your version. You don't need to continue to allow it access to work.

Hope this helps!
