can't password protect sub folders of cgi-bin

Hi mate,
Before I even try guessing what the problem is, you are going to have to describe the problem better..
What OS are you running this on?
What happens when you try to access the subdirectories?
What have you tried already?
What do your error logs say?

Hi mate,
If you get a 403 error then the error will be recorded you just have to set your httpd.conf to log debug errors.
LogLevel debug
