I made an application build with screens on Foxpro 2.5.
The application was working find. However, Last Friday when I tried to open a screen to make a change, Foxpro sent a window error telling me Missing, memo field, wich is very extrange. I do not use any database with memo fields. I try to rebuild the project but Foxpro sent me another error message with error on the Genscreen line XXXX,
How can I modify the screens?? Is the source code of the screen damage??? What can I do to recover my screens???

Thanks for your atention,

Liliana

Liliana,
Screens are based on a standard .DBF table, they just have renamed the pieces to .SCX and .SCT (the .FPT - memo piece). Unfortunately, the .SCT file extension is also used by the newer OS's as a Script file extension. One of the recent viruses deleted or blanked out .SCT files. You'll need to restore your "bad" screen files from a backup, or you'll have to recreate it. If you have no backups, then you may need to resort to purchasing ReFox (a commercial decompiler) and extracting the screen files from a good copy of your application (.EXE or .APP).
