Can't open/save attachments Outlook 2002

We are using Outlook 2002 with an Exchange server. When receiving emails with attachments we are not able to open or save the attachments. However, we can open them, if we click "forward". I've read that some security settings need to be changed, but what needs to be changed is the question. We have messed with that a little with out any luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction to where I can find a solution to this problem?]
