In the course of my job, I send many emails with PDF documents (contract) attached. On several occasions, the recipient says they can't read the PDF file. They also claim they have Acrobat Reader in their system. I've told them to double click on the PDF icon or right-click and open. They can't get it. Is it possible their Acrobat Reader is not installed properly or is something else at work here? Thanks

Well - it is possible they don't have the Reader installed OR they have a version older than the compatibility level you are saving the PDFs to. If people have Reader V4 only, they will not see PDFs created in V5, unless it was saved to be backwardly compatible. Even more critical is if you make PDFs with V6 - most people do not yet have Reader 6 on their computers.
