I installed the client software on a few XP machines with both service pack 1 and 2 and they all were OK. Now when I installed it on my laptop (XP service pack 2) I can't open the program? I can install new system fine, I can ping the server fine, but when I try and lauch the program to get to the log in it shows an hour glass for about 5 seconds then never opens up? This is version 4.01.07 Rev 6.3 Client.....

I had the same problems last week when our company finally migrated to XP. My SCCS client and CP 1.07 client wouldn't come up until I disable XP firewall and reinstall the clients.

Give that a try,...it worked for me, hopes it work for you too.

Any other suggestions? My firewall was disabled and my virus scan I turned off. I deleted the progam and tried reinstalling again but nothing?

I had the same problem. I could load fine on desktop but crapped out on my laptop. It was wierd. But only with XP, it worked like a charm with Win 2000.

I actually had my brother look at it, because I am not even going to pretend I know a lot about computers, and he loaded it on XP, by making the installation look like a Win 2000 system. I guess you can do that on XP. After that it worked like a charm.

XP SP2 is supported. Ask your vendor for Product Bulletin P-2004-0395-Global-Rev1, 9 December 2004.

I installed the client on my XP SP2 laptop when logged into network with my domain-account. Then I had problem. When installing the client as local Administrator - no problem.

I've tried both ways, logged in as a administrator and then again with the domain log in, neither works? I am having one of our desktop/systems techs look in to this also.
