Can't open file anymore

Created pagemaker 7.0 file and have opened and closed it several times. All of a sudden, I am getting messages that file is already opened by some other application or process and it will not open ... it will not allow itself to be copied ... I can't change its name nor move it anywhere. The computer has been shut down over night and same happens in the morning as soon as I open Pagemaker and then attempt to access the file. HELP???? Thank you ... grateful Kenny.

I am assuming that your PM files and all associated files are on local drives, not network or removeable drives.
