I have one user who gets a Microsoft error message (send/don't send report to Microsoft)when she tries to open an Access database. She can open any other Access database. No other users have this problem. I've tried eveything I could think of to fix this with no success.
I'm stiffled at this point. Anyone have an idea what to try or where to look?

At first glance...I'd check her permissions on any backend folders, then look in code to see what runs on startup, and examine what References might be there in the db (ie, activeX controls, dll references, etc) that she may not have installed.

Some questions:

Is this database split into a front end/back end configuration?

What version/service pack is on the development machine?

What version/service pack is on the errant machine?

Does the errant machine have the same References loaded as in the other, working machines?

Thank you for your esponse. I learned the machine in question is soon to be replaced and that should resolve the issue.

The Microsoft Error Message, as your described, indicated that the database crashed during its startup. So it is not a permission issue or even an VBA code error. I agree with Jim and Missinglinq, check References and ActiveX controls.

Actually, replacing the machine may create even more problems! A new machine means a new installation of Access, which means, once again, that References could very easily be missing. Anytime an app runs on one machine but not another, missing references have to be considered, especially on a new machine.

Here are Doug Steele's detailed instructions on how to troubleshoot the problem:
