can't open/access url links in received e-mails

I am running Windows XP with SP2 installed. I use
Outlook Express for my e-mail. When I receive an
e-mail and it has a link I want to open I can't
open it. It hasn't been a problem until recently.

Of course I can copy and paste the link to my
browser (IE) but that is a hassel I want to avoid.
If there is a button or icon to click on, the
"hand" activates but nothing happens. I'm sure it
has to do with SP2 but not sure. Help is appreciated.

Thanks Paula for your reply. Yes, it was an IE issue. After I posted my request for help I learned what my problem was. I had switched from IE being my default browser to Firefox. After I switched back to EI everything worked great.
