Can't not turn off read only in database to add more records

Hello,

I'm having trouble when I back up my databse (table & form only) to a CD-RW and try to reopen it comes up read only.

I looked through the help files and it suggested in design view (form)in properties changing the fields to allow edits, additons and deletions.

I did that and reburned the CD and it still opens up read only. Can someone give me a suggestion? I have 579 records to add to this database and would hate to do that all over again.

Are you opening the database on the CD-RW? If so, I think you need to copy it to a hard drive before adding records.
