Can't Move Pallets

Hi, I can't work out how to move my pallets in freehand 8? Every time I try to move them or just click and unclick the pallet bars they disapear. Anyone know how I can stop this from happening?

Are you using a PC or Apple Mac ? If you can't fix it in 20 call someone who can.
