Can't mount the CDrom in OS5 2

I am trying to mount the cdrom so I can do a application software update on a server and I keep getting the following error after doing the following commands:

#mount -f HS,lower,showhidden,defgid=other /dev/cd0 /cdrom
mount: /dev/cd0: No such device or address (error 6)

# mount -r /dev/cd0 /mnt
mount: cannot stat '/dev/cd0': No such device or address (error 6)

I have had the cdrom replaced. I have tried two different cd's to make sure it wasnt a media problem. hwconfig shows:

I am out of idea's does any one have any idea why I can't get this to work?

The cd-rom driver is configured for a device IDE(primary,master) and the kernel is configured for IDE secondary only.
