I just installed RedHat 7.2 and after installation, I wanted to mount the cd-rom to read the contents and I typed this:

# mount /dev/cdrom
I also tried
# mount /mnt/cdrom

Both resulted in the machine hanging up on me.
Anyone has any ideas?

Also, I have an onboard video card called nVidia Vanta. I have never heard of it and it seems like there are no video drivers for it. Can anyone help me out to get the server to be configure with Xwindows?

Can't help with the video question, but as far as the cdrom mount question have you tried:

mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom

or

is there an entry for your cdrom in /etc/fstab? Meekness: Uncommon patience in planning a revenge that is worth while.
