A user of mine wants to change the design of form she uses, but got the message she wasn't authorized to do so. When I ran Administrator to upgrade her access level, I found nothing could be changed, as my predecessor (the cert) had removed himself from the form's ACL. What can I do to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

do you know who/what is on the acl and what access they have? Lamaar75@hotmail.com

Yes, this user is the only one on the ACL, but the former
cert did not give her sufficient permissions to modify the design, and had removed himself from the ACL. Duh! Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

What I would probably do is create a local copy of the database making sure I did not copy the ACL over. This was the user would have managers rights. I would then add anyone else I needed to to the ACL (ie Admin, Server etc). I would then stick this on the server, overwriting the users original database - make sense?

Let me know how you get on. Lamaar75@hotmail.com

Thanks, Lamaar. I was wondering if it would be workable to create a copy of it and do as you suggest, but my limited experience with Notes tells me to err on the side of caution. I'll give it a whirl Monday AM and give you feedback. Thanks again.

Mike
