Hi,guys,
My XP pro box at home can't connect to one specific server in my company, no telent, no ftp. It is working fine for all the other servers. I checked firewall in our company, all the connection I made got forwarded on each port on the server. It never happened before. any ideas?
Thx!

verify the server setup. It may be denying access to those TCP ports.

The server set up is fine, it accepts all those connection, no IP rules at all. My computer used to be able to make connection with the server, but suddenly, can't ping it, really odd. I believe some thing wrong with my computer, because firwall forward different ports to different server.
There must be something about IP security setting on my computer, because I tried VPN client on it a couple of weeks ago.

Sounds like you are connecting directly using public IP addresses - running File & Print sharing over the internet is about as dangerous as it gets - regardless of firewall!

Much better to use RRAS & VPN.

Check the sub-netting on each machine - how are you connecting your XP home machine to the Internet?
