can't logon to CVS

Hi All, I'm running Red Hat 9 with CVS.

I'm trying the command "cvs login" and it prompts me for a password. However, it will not accept my password. (I'm assuming this is the Linux user password?)

Any idea on how to get this working? I'm stumped!!
