Cant logon to Crystal Management Console

I don't know what's wrong, but when I try to logon to the Crystal Management Console using the default 'Administrator' account with no password that the Administrator's Guide says should be there by default, I just get plopped right back to the logon screen. No error messages, nothing. And yes, I am using the 'Enterprise' authentication type.

Compare that to when I try to login using some random gibberish name - THEN I get a message saying 'user not found.'

I've also tried logging in as 'guest' with no password and that gives me the same problem - no errors, and no 'user not found' message.

I've tried looking on the Crystal Knowledge base but couldn't find anything.

BTW, I'm using Crystal Enterprise 8.

Any ideas?

Were you ever able to logon?

Has anyone changed the password or CSP code?

If the licensing isn't properly handled, sometimes it gives errors.

Can you log in through the Crystal Configuartion Manager (the .exe)?

There are numerous articles on the CD website about this, such as:

This looping log on problem is known to CD. There should be heaps of information on it in the knowledge base and I believe there was a patch for it too.

1. No I've never been able to logon... we just put CE onto our web server.

2. No one's changed the password since the only person who could would be me

3. I'm not sure I follow... I never 'logon' to the CCM, I just open it.

4. The problem with the article you supplied is that the solution requires you to LOGON to the CMC, which I can't do!
