Can't login from Project 2003 Client.

I have Project 2003 server installed.

I can connect no problem using IE explorer however when I try with Project 2003 client I get HTTP 401.2 errors. To me this suggests permissions problems with the IIS on the server. When I look at the permissions they look ok and i've done some testing with giving the group 'everyone' full permissions. Besides my thoughts are if it was a permission issue surely the same problem would occur when connecting via the browser.

Any help or pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Are you runnning Windows Sharepoint Services on the same server? If you do, you need to go WSS administration and exclude /projectserver virtual directory from WSS managed path.
