Can't log onto one website

One of my bosses is unable to log onto a business partners website. I can log onto the site from my pc and several other computers that are in our organization. We are all on the same subnet and therefore use the same firewall and router. The browser behaves as if its lost and can't resolve the host name. Any ideas?

But even you can't log in from his pc?

I tried from his pc with no luck. I also discovered that a couple of other pc have the same problem with this website. We both use Verizon as our ISP.

A couple of suggestions,

- Clear out all cookies and temp internet files
- Try a different browser
- Compare security settings with a computer that can logon

Is there any error messages that appear?

I cleared the cookies and temp files and checked the security settings, but the page still will not load. I have not had an opportunity to try another browser.

Also check the hosts file on the problem computer. If you find an entry for that particular site, delete it.

The host file is clear.

The same thing is happening to me for one user in the organization only. She can't access a site from IE, but can from Netscape. Everyone else is fine with both.

Colleen, Just a clarification. Here and in your other post you keep saying "user" but your problem is with the computer. No one can log onto the site from that computer with IE.

Right now I can't test another browser, but I don't think in this case it will matter.

Problem solved. The company on the other end had to add routes for the other public IPs our company uses. This problem drove me crazy, but I am glad its fixed.
