cant log on to desktop after install on nt4

I am trying to put together a test box and have set up NT4, installed the framework (3.7) and desktop. Once all this is done, I cant log on to the desktop. It keeps telling me to check my password (which is one i use for all my test boxes). Can anyone give me some guidance on what I may have done wrong or if there's some specific collection of service packs i need? The help is badly needed - I've been fighting with this thing for four days.

This is a tricky question because there are so many factors that may cause this behavior. First of all make sure the oserv process is running if it is start a command prompt and source in the Tivoli environmental variables; by default C:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\tivoli\setup_env.cmd
now issue "odadmin odlist" for instance just to see what is says, if you get an authorization error, make sure you are logged in as Administrator or the user that installed Tivoli. If the odlist does work check the hostname of your TMR server, add an alias if it is wrong using odadmin add_hostname_alias I beleive, check your Framework Reference manual for complete syntax. Have you changed IP address or hostname of the TMR Server? This can also cause this issue. Another place to check is your oservlog located in your %DBDIR% directory (This variable is set once you source in your environment) Hope this helps
