Hi guys

My problem is my broadcasting and logging of my users with windows 98. If I want to administer the Win 98 pc's from my server (server manager) It does not let me, the "is not configured for remote administration" And I all ready went to the "password window" in the win 98 pc's and activated the "remote administrator" option and I can't seem to do nothing.

Thanx in advanced!!!!!

SMF
Server manager is not a workstation administration tool. It is actually meant for the reverse, administering a server from a workstation. Without installing a remote control client on the workstations, there is a limit to how much you can administer remotely on 95 and 98. Those 2 OSes are an outgrowth of "home" systems and are not really built for the full range of corporate type control.
Jeff
masterracker@hotmail.com

Of all the things I've lost in life, I miss my mind the most ...

There are tools floating around. Specifically what kinds of things are you trying to do?
Jeff
masterracker@hotmail.com

Of all the things I've lost in life, I miss my mind the most ...

I want to have more control over my users, for example, I want to be able to log off my users from my server (And I think that I can do it with the Server Manager but I can't).

But may be you can tell me about some tools I can use to manage my win 98 workstations.

Thanx in advanced (by the way, I am new in this site and I have read some of your posts and you are very helpful to this forum. thanx. I will keep in touch because you probably are going to clear alot doubts that I have about NT.

Oh, all most forgot, I want to apply policies to the win 98 workstations.
