Can't log in to server anymore usina any account

Does server 2003 have lock out if you try to login using the wrong passwords to may times for all users?
I changed the admin password and now can't get in anymore. Its not like me to forget the password. And it would have been simple. But even if I try to login in using other users that were on that domain no one can get in?

you cant lock out the built-in administrator account

what is the error you get?

if domain users were added to the guest group, you could easily get what you are seeing. the downside to that scenario, a reload and authoritatiuve restore of a DC will be necessary.

I can't login, invalid password. Some users I try, say account disabled. We were closing the office and laying of people so I guess the manager disabled those that were gone.

in my experience these types of tools can only be used to crack a local admin account, which wont apply to an AD infrastructure. Do any of these actually work with AD accounts?

You could be right Brandon. I would have thought it would have worked with the built in admin account. Sorry Doug-maybe don't try my advice until we're sure it would work as needed.
