can't launch any app

I have a user on a laptop who can log into the citrix environment but after clicking on any application icon he get the connection bar and then is actually connected but nothing happens after that. The application fails to load. I have uninstalled his ICA client and re-installed it but this hasn't fixed the problem. Any ideas guys would be appreciated

Are you getting anything in the eventviewer on the Server side when he tries to connect and login? If you're getting a license error try this on the laptop:
1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
2. Locate and then click the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing
3. Delete the whole MSLicensing key from the registry.
4. Quit Registry Editor.
5. Connect to the Terminal Server.
 
I think I am on the same lines as mjbianco15, but slightly different track.

1 Create a custom ICA connection to Citrix server. No published application. Direct to the server and this should bring up a desktop login screen.
2 See if you get a message.
3 look in the event viewer of citrix server and see if there is anything about licenses. You may be out of them, or it is as above your registry entry is snashed.
