I have just re installed after effects 6 after having to restore my drive! I have also upgraded to OS10.3. When I try to launch the appp the icon just bounces in the dock and then disappears. I have tried repairing permissions, replacing preferences (although an after effects one didn't appear in the folder) and removing certain plug ins. I am really stuck as I am not that technically minded and it all worked fine before the restore?

Are you using 10.3.7?
If a reinstall (again) doesn't fix it, make sure that the links are right. Find the original application icon in the Applications folder, then click that (rather than relying on the dock alias)
